Simon Bening(...?), Book of Hours. C. 1510
Five players, each holding a one-piece wooden colf with its distictively curved head, contest a colf variant played with a small black ball. The player third form the left, in a blue tunic, indicates with his right hand that the ball is in the cup next to his foot, confirmed by the gesture of the player opposite him.
