Anthonie van Stralen (Anthonie Verstraelen) was born in |Gorinchem about 1594 and died in Amsterdam in 1641. Little else is known about his life. Noted as a landscapist, Van Stralen specialized in winterlandscapes with skaters and colf players. There is a clearly recognizable influence of Avercamp on his work, but the paintings of Van Stralen differs from Avercamp's concept in the elegant costumes and refined poses of his figures.

Paysage d'hiver, par Anthonie van Stralen (Anthonie Verstraelen).

Il est spécialisé en paysages d'hiver. Né environ 1594 à Gorinchem, il mourut à Amsterdam en 1641. Il était fortement inspiré par Hendrick Avercamp dont il se distingue surtout par la façon dont il habille ses personages, qui le place à une époque ultérieure à Avercamp.
