Many figures skating or playing colf on a frozen waterway. An old man is pushing a sledge laden with two barrels. In the centre foreground two open boats frozen in the ice. On the right a group of ladies and gentlemen in conversation. At the left on a snowy path some ladies and gentlemen walking and in the background an arched stone bridge with a church behind the trees. Far right in the background a frozen river with many skaters and some houses, a mill and a church on the bank.
