Winter landscape, 19th century. Attributed to Dutch School (anonymous).
Winter landscape under an ominous dark sky, with a rocky outcrop from which a hideous tree sprouts on the left; in the middle ground are figures on a frozen river which skirts around a fortified town with a prominent church steeple; near the foreground three figures trudge along a road on the curve of which is a wizened bare tree. A pair of colf players on the foreground.
