Frozen canal with a village to the left. 'In the foreground a bank and to the left of centre a standing gentleman from behind; to the right of centre an ice-bound boat; at the very right three trees; on the left bank houses under trees, in the background two churches; on the right bank a group of houses and wind mill; snow clouds overhead'.
